All-On-Four and All-On-Six; Rehabilitation of Completely Edentulous (Toothless) Patients with İmplant Supported Fixed Prosthesis
Today, implants and implant supported prosthesis that area applied in place of missing teeth allow us to offer comfortable and successful treatment plans to our patients.
These treatment methods, which we have successfully applied in our completely edentulous (toothless) patients, are called ‘All-On-4’ or ‘All-on-6’ according to the number of implants applied. The numbers contained in these names refer to the number of implants to be placed in the jawbone. These treatments, which are performed after analyzing the needs of our patients and the amount of bone they have, have been supported by scientific studies involving long-term follow-ups.
What does the success of these treatments depend on?
The success outcomes of these treatments depends on a meticulous planning and treatment process carried out by specialist doctors. The number of implants placed to support the prostheses and their location are vital for a long-lasting and problem-free treatment. The treatment process, which will end with a fixed prosthesis (attached to the implants), proceeds as follows;
- Our patient is examined by our specialist doctors *.
- After the needs and complaints of our patients are listened to, the existing medical and dental situation is examined. Jaw bones are analyzed by 3D imaging.
- The number of implants and their location are decided **. The structure and aesthetic requirements of the prosthesis to be produced are also included in the plan.
- A definite treatment plan is created by our specialist doctors with our patients’ requirements.
- The treatment plan is clearly presented to our patients. The treatment plan is also presented to our patients in a written form.
- Before the implant application, fixed temporary prostheses are produced to be attached to the implants.
- Implants are placed in their proper position during a single surgical procedure. This procedure can be performed easily under local anesthesia. In our patients with a high level of fear, sedation or general anesthesia can be applied during these procedures.
- Temporary fixed prostheses are attached to the implants within a day after the implant surgery. Our patient spends the time required for the healing of the implants comfortably thanks to these prostheses.
- Our patients are given information about the diets they will apply during the healing process and the points they will pay attention to.
- After the implants have healed properly, the production of definite fixed prosthesis is completed.
· After the controls of permanent fixed prostheses are performed, the care requirements are transferred to our patients.
The advantages of these treatments;
- At the end of the treatment, our patients get a fixed prosthesis with an aesthetic appearance that they can use comfortably. Unlike the prostheses made with the old methods, these prostheses do not cover the palate area and can be easily cleaned.
- The treatment process includes a single surgical procedure.
- Thanks to the fixed temporary prostheses applied during the treatment process, our patient can continue his daily life without interruption.
* Preliminary interviews are made with our future patients for their treatment from abroad or outside the city and their appointments are effectively prepared.
**The number and location of the implants to be placed are specific to the requirements of each patient, the accurate treatment plan becomes clear after the analysis performed by our specialist doctors. edentulous (toothless) patients,
